Is OSMO still in business? Why can’t I access OSMO? Is the OSMO website down? If you’re thinking of buying a new OSMO system for your kids, please read this important message first.
Update On OSMO Game System 2024

Over the years, I have been a vocal supporter of the OSMO gaming system, including the OSMO Genius Starter Kit and accompanying games like Pizza Co., Math Wizard, OSMO Detective Agency, the basic OSMO app games and other games we’ve played on our iPad using the OSMO system.
AS OF THE WRITING OF THIS POST, THE MAIN PLAYOSMO.COM SITE IS DOWN, THE PHONE NUMBER IS OUT OF SERVICE, AND PARENTS ACROSS DIFFERENT PLATFORMS ARE REPORTING NOT GETTING RESPONSES FROM SUPPORT EMAILS, AND SOME/ALL APPS, GAMES, AND REDEMPTION CODES NOT WORKING.
I cannot in good conscience continue to recommend this gaming system and support the parent company, Byju (which, by the way, also owns EPIC! and a whole host of other sites) as it is currently running.
What happened to OSMO?
In June 2024, lenders of Byju filed “involuntary Chapter 11” against Byju’s subsidiaries, which includes Osmo’s Tangible Play U.S. subsidiary.
Will OSMO still work?
We haven’t tried our OSMO, but many parents in a tech group are reporting their games, apps, and/or redemption codes are no longer working (or never worked at all for new purchases).
You can also see people leaving reviews on retail sites about the system not working.
THE SYSTEMS ARE STILL BEING SOLD ON RETAIL SITES, INCLUDING BLACK FRIDAY SALES AND HOLIDAY SALES.
I wanted to give you this OSMO update in case you’re thinking of getting it for homeschooling, as a Christmas gift, or wondering why your current OSMO system doesn’t work.
If/when things change, I’ll update this post.
I’m hoping that they can sell off the OSMO division to someone who will revitalize this product. It really is (was) a great learning system.
